About the Role:
The Plant Mechanic is responsible for carrying out onsite and offsite repairs, diagnostics, servicing, and preventative maintenance on a range of heavy and light vehicles, earthmoving machinery, crushers, screens, fixed plant, and mobile equipment.
As a representative of the company, the Plant Mechanic will identify and report emerging mechanical issues to support safe, reliable, and efficient equipment operation while delivering high-quality service to clients.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Carrying out on and offsite diagnosis, repairs, routine inspection and servicing of equipment and machinery
Completing all required paperwork accurately and effectively
Apply risk management strategies when completing tasks in the work environment.
Skills & Experience:
Mechanically Trade Qualified
Experience in dealing with diagnosis, servicing and repairs of CAT, KOMATSU and VOLVO
A strong service background with proven experience
Current Australian MR minimum drivers licence (or able to obtain)
Highly developed communication skills
Self motivated and team orientated
Proven ability to work unsupervised with a track record of working safely
Able to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical
Light Vehicle mechanical experience is high regarded
