Location: Multiple Venues (Travel Required)

Salary Range: $77,000 - $85,000 per annum

Job Overview:

The Operations/Quality Control Coordinator supports the consistent execution of food quality, safety, and operational standards across all DOPA Donburi & Desserts venues. Working closely with the Group Area Operations Manager and venue teams, this role helps implement quality control procedures, monitors daily operations, and assists in training and performance tracking. The coordinator plays a key role in maintaining uniformity across kitchen and milk bar operations while promoting continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Food Standards & Quality Control

  • Assist in enforcing company-wide QC protocols for food receiving, prep, portioning, and presentation

  • Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance with Australian Food Safety standards

  • Support consistency in taste, portioning, and plating across venues

2. Operational Consistency

  • Help implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for kitchen and milk bar workflows

  • Coordinate inventory, food storage, and equipment practices across locations

  • Support the rollout of new menus and operational updates

3. Team Support & Training

  • Identify areas for improvement in store team performance

  • Assist in delivering hands-on training in food safety, preparation, and service efficiency

  • Collaborate with Store and Kitchen Managers to support staff development

4. Performance Monitoring

  • Help track performance benchmarks and operational metrics

  • Provide feedback and observations to kitchen leaders and teams

  • Monitor food waste, kitchen speed, and safety compliance

5. Compliance & Safety

  • Support venues in meeting food safety and health regulations

  • Monitor kitchen cleanliness and food handling practices

  • Assist in resolving compliance issues and implementing corrective actions

6. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

  • Act as a resource for day-to-day operational challenges

  • Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality

  • Work with the Group Area Operations Manager on initiatives to improve guest satisfaction

7. Ad Hoc Projects

  • Participate in special projects such as venue openings or menu updates

  • Coordinate short-term initiatives with clear goals and timelines

  • Ensure projects meet quality expectations and deadlines

About You:

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in hospitality or restaurant operations, ideally in a supervisory or coordinator role

  • Solid understanding of operational workflows, food safety standards, and venue performance metrics

  • Experience managing inventory, labour efficiency, and supporting cost control initiatives

Leadership Skills

  • Proven ability to lead by example and positively influence team performance

  • Skilled in coaching, staff development, and fostering a collaborative team culture

  • Confident decision-maker who remains calm and solutions-focused under pressure

Operational Expertise

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in fast-paced environments

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; experienced in scheduling, compliance, and operational consistency

  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, to support venue needs

Team Player

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset

  • A hands-on coordinator who builds trust and rapport across teams
