We’re growing and looking for a motivated and safety-focused Safety Officer to support our team. If you’re someone who takes safety seriously, enjoys working with people, and wants to build your experience in the construction industry — we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be DoingSupporting the team in maintaining safety compliance and promoting a positive safety culture on site
Assisting with the implementation and upkeep of safety procedures and documentation
Participating in site safety inspections and helping identify hazards and risks
Promoting safe work practices and encouraging others to prioritise safety
Assisting with incident reporting and investigations
Helping coordinate routine safety checks such as testing and tagging of equipment
Supporting return-to-work processes and general safety administration
Working closely with supervisors and workers to ensure safety standards are followed
Minimum 1 year experience in a similar safety or construction-related role
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or currently working towards it)
A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Strong communication skills and the confidence to speak up about safety
Good attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to follow processes and contribute to continuous improvement
Someone reliable, proactive, and committed to keeping everyone safe
Experience in construction or a trade-based environment
Additional tickets or training such as White Card, Silica Awareness, Asbestos Awareness, or similar
Demonstrated knowledge of ACT WHS legislation and practices
Eagerness to further develop your safety knowledge and career
