The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Quality & Environment leader to establish and lead Quality and Environmental systems within our new automated Marsden Park facility. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a newly established site featuring a fully automated warehouse with the latest technology, supported by a vibrant and safety-focused culture.
In this role, you will provide Quality and Environment leadership across the business, partnering with stakeholders to identify risks, drive continuous improvement, and embed a strong safety-first mindset. About the vacancy

Main Duties

  •  Implement, maintain, and continually improve the BRCGS Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to embed quality and environmental requirements into automated warehouse operations
  • Drive food safety and environmental culture across the site
  • Ensure compliance with BRCGS, ISO 14001, NSW environmental legislation, EPA requirements, and Development Consent SSD-6799
  • Lead and coordinate internal, certification, customer, and regulatory audits and inspections
  • Manage non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions, product incidents, withdrawals/recalls, and environmental incidents
  • Maintain audit readiness, compliance registers, system documentation, and traceability records
  • Develop and manage environmental monitoring, reporting, and environmental management programs (including waste, spill prevention, inspections, and risk management)
  • Monitor quality and environmental performance, analyse trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead incident investigations using structured root cause methodologies
  • Develop and deliver training on food safety, HACCP, BRCGS, environmental compliance, and emergency response
  • Support operations and engineering by assessing quality and environmental risks for projects and process changes
  • Prepare and present performance reports, KPIs, audit outcomes, and compliance updates to leadership
  • Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, continuous improvement, and environmental awareness
  • Support emergency response activities and escalate significant risks, incidents, or non-compliance as required
  • Education & Experience

  • Degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, or cold chain logistics environments
  • Proven experience managing food safety, quality, and environmental management systems
  • Strong background in audit management, compliance, and continuous improvement processes
  • Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of BRCGS Storage & Distribution Standards, HACCP principles, and food safety requirements
  • Strong understanding of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
  • Working knowledge of NSW environmental legislation, EPA requirements, and Development Consent obligations
  • Experience managing internal, certification, customer, and regulatory audits
  • Strong capability in non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and KPI monitoring skills
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation management capability
  • Licences & Certifications

  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • HACCP Certification or Food Safety Qualification
  • BRCGS Storage & Distribution Internal or Lead Auditor Certification (preferred)
  • Internal or Lead Auditor Certification (preferred)
  • Environmental Compliance Training (preferred)
