Stonemason (Full- Time)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Stonemason to join our construction team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out specialist stone masonry work across residential construction and home improvement projects.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and project specifications for residential stone masonry works.
• Measuring, cutting, shaping and preparing natural and manufactured stone materials for construction and finishing works.
• Laying, positioning and fixing stone, stone cladding and masonry materials to walls, façades, retaining walls, paving areas and residential feature structures.
• Constructing and repairing stone walls, stone façades, feature walls, retaining walls, steps, paving and customised stone finishes.
• Mixing and applying mortar, adhesives and other bonding materials to secure stone and masonry units.
• Using hand tools, power tools and masonry equipment safely to cut, shape, polish and finish stone materials.
• Repairing damaged, cracked, weathered or deteriorated stonework in residential properties.
• Checking levels, alignment, spacing and finishes to ensure stonework is accurate, durable and visually consistent.
• Working with builders, supervisors, subcontractors and other trades to complete stone masonry components of residential projects on time.
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with project requirements, workplace safety procedures and applicable building standards.
• Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas in a safe, clean and organised condition.

Required skills and experience:

• Relevant qualification or demonstrated experience as a Stonemason.
• Minimum 1 Year of experience in residential stonework, stone cladding, feature walls, retaining walls, paving or masonry repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications.
• Strong practical skills in cutting, shaping, laying and finishing stone materials.
• Good attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes.
• Ability to work safely and effectively on residential construction sites.
• Reliable, physically fit and able to work as part of a construction team.
