Task & responsibilities
Study drawings, plans, and specifications to determine materials and installation requirements
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other construction materials
Construct, erect, install, renovate, and repair structures and fixtures
Install wall framing, roof framing, flooring, doors, windows, and external cladding
Assemble and install prepared wood structures and fittings
Carry out general carpentry and construction duties on-site
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Australian building standards and WHS requirements
Perform repairs and maintenance to existing structures and fittings
Assist with concrete formwork and related carpentry tasks where required
Qualification & experience
Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant carpentry experience (residential construction preferred)
Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, techniques, and construction methods
Ability to read and interpret building plans and drawings
Understanding of Australian building standards and WHS regulations
Physically fit and able to perform manual construction work
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and committed to long-term employment
Valid driver’s licence (preferred)
