Formwork Carpenter

Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting tradespeople, machine operators, and supervisors 
• Performing general manual labour tasks 
• Carrying, lifting, loading, and unloading materials 
• Site preparation and clean-up 
• Using hand and power tools safely 
• Assisting with concreting, scaffolding, or civil works 
• Spotting machinery and helping with traffic/site safety 
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment 
• Following workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures 
• Taking instructions from leading hands or supervisors

Qualifications Required:

• Construction White Card (mandatory in Australia) 
• Driver’s licence (often preferred) 
• Ability to pass medical and drug/alcohol tests 
• Machinery or plant tickets (optional but beneficial) 
  • Forklift  
  • Excavator  
  • Traffic Control 
  • Working at Heights

Experience Required:

• Construction experience 
• Basic understanding of construction environments 
• Reliability and punctuality 
• Ability to follow instructions 
• Strong safety awareness 
• Willingness to learn and work in a team
