Creative Respite and Community Services
We are currently looking for Support Workers in the following regions:
- Logan and surrounds
- Ipswich and surrounds
Core objectives include:
Main duties and Responsibilities
Provide direct support and assistance to service participants as required. The support required will vary from person to person but may include and is not limited to:
Personal care.
Manual handling.
Meal preparation.
Medication support as required.
General household tasks including cleaning.
Assist with implementation of any support plans.
Assist with personal development activities.
Support participants with community based activities and appointments.
Complete documentation in a timely, accurate manner.
Comply with all policies and procedures including but not limited to OH&S/WH&S Policies and Privacy and
Confidentiality.
Attend and complete any training as deemed necessary by CRCS and as required.
Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Reliable, flexible, and punctual.

SKILLS, COMPETENCY, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
A high level of organizational, communication (both oral and written) and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team and individually.
Knowledge of, and commitment to the principals of the NDIS.
Current Drivers license and preparedness to use own comprehensively insured vehicle for work related duties.
Current First Aid Certificate and CPR or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
Current Working with children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Completion of QLD Health COVID-19 Infection Control training
Qualifications
Cert III or Cert IV in Disability Work, Aged Care, Individual Support, Mental Health or Community Services, Youth Work.
Experience
Minimum 12 months experience as a support worker in the Disability, Aged Care, Child Safety or Mental Health sector.
Experience with manual handling and behaviour support highly desirable.
Other
Conditions The position involves shift work which includes weekends, evenings, sleepovers and public holidays.
Must maintain Working with children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening.
Employment is conditional on employee maintaining a current First Aid and CPR certificate.
Employment is conditional on employee maintaining a current and valid driver’s license.
Employment in this position is conditional on the employee having the use of a reliable registered motor vehicle, comprehensively insured for work related purposes.
