About the Role

Are you a seasoned Developer who enjoys both the strategy of leadership and staying close to the code? At Lite n’ Easy, we are looking for a Software Development Team Lead to join our Brisbane-based ICT team. This is a high-impact, "brownfield" environment where you will head a team of 5 in-house developers dedicated to continuous improvement.

Your new role

• Lead & Mentor: Head a team of 5 skilled developers, fostering a collaborative environment and identifying opportunities for their professional growth.
• Enforce Standards: Establish and lead best practices in Web and Application development, ensuring the team maintains excellent coding standards across the full development cycle.
• Technical Delivery: Manage timelines from concept through to application launch, working closely with the Applications Manager and ICT Project Manager to prioritize strategic initiatives.
• Hybrid Approach: Navigate a diverse workload involving Agile/ Waterfall and Squads for projects Business-As-Usual (BAU) tasks.
• Technical Quality: Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of applications while driving innovation to meet evolving business needs.

What We’re Looking For

• You have proven experience with web and application development experience within the Microsoft suite and at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• You have worked in commercial industries and thrived in broader roles within smaller teams
• Technical Mastery:
  • Backend: Extensive experience in Microsoft .Net (C#, .Net Core, VB.Net) and SQL Server.
  • Frontend: Proficiency in React.js, JavaScript, jQuery, and advanced styling using CSS/SASS and grid-based frameworks.
  • Advantageous: Experience with D365, Salesforce integrations, or mobile development (.Net Maui) is highly regarded.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal skills are essential to influence senior developers and collaborate across the business.
