About the role
This is a Casual Disability Support Worker role with Ozability Support Services', based on the Central Coast, NSW. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality in-home and community-based support to participants with a range of disabilities, empowering them to live independently and engage with their local community.
What you'll be doing
Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
Supporting clients to access the community and engage in social, recreational, and educational activities
Advocating for clients and collaborating with their support networks to ensure their needs are met
Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures
Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and quality standards
Manual handling experience
Mental Health Experience
Must have experience working with high needs/Behaviors
Able to work in a High intensity & Complex Support house.
What we're looking for
Relevant Certificate III or IV in Disability Services or a related field
Experience providing support to people with disabilities, either in a professional or personal capacity
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting people with disabilities
A current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, active nights and Sleepovers
