MAKE A DIFFERENCE EVERY DAY
The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation ('BCF') is one of Sydney's largest frontline charities and has been supporting people experiencing homelessness, poverty and disadvantage for almost 40 years.
Our mission is simple: The person in front of us.
Through our medical, social welfare, food relief and education programs, we provide practical support and compassionate care to thousands of people each year.
ABOUT OUR HEALTHCARE TEAM
Our multidisciplinary healthcare team delivers high-quality primary healthcare services to some of Sydney's most vulnerable communities through our fully equipped medical clinics in Ashfield and Blacktown. Working alongside General Practitioners, Nurses, Social Workers, Allied Health Professionals and Alcohol & Other Drug ('AOD') specialists, you will play a vital role in providing holistic, person-centred care to people who may otherwise struggle to access healthcare services.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse ('RN') to join our growing healthcare team on either a full-time or part-time basis (minimum three days per week). This is not a hospital ward role. It is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients, work autonomously within a supportive multidisciplinary environment and provide healthcare that genuinely changes lives. You will utilise your clinical expertise across a broad range of primary healthcare services while supporting patients who often present with complex health and social needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct patient triage and nursing assessments
• Deliver vaccinations, wound care and phlebotomy services
• Assist with minor procedures and treatment plans
• Support chronic disease management and preventative healthcare initiatives
• Undertake mental health screening and assessments within scope of practice
• Coordinate recalls, reminders and patient follow-up activities
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards
• Support accreditation and clinical governance requirements
• Participate in outreach activities when required
• Collaborate closely with General Practitioners and the wider multidisciplinary team
