Our client, Elements Operations Group, is known for quality food, great service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that creates memorable dining experiences. Elements Operation Group Pty Ltd are in search of a talented and passionate Restaurant Manager (Chief Operating Officer) to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive leadership over all restaurant operations, establishing strategic objectives, operational frameworks, and performance benchmarks to ensure sustainable business growth, profitability, and exceptional customer experiences across the organisation.
  • Drive the culinary vision and brand strategy in collaboration with Executive Chefs and senior leadership, directing market research to develop innovative menu concepts, optimise pricing strategies, strengthen competitive positioning, and enhance long-term commercial performance.
  • Lead business development initiatives, strategic partnerships, and commercial planning for premium dining experiences, corporate functions, VIP events, and large-scale hospitality operations, ensuring seamless execution while maximising revenue opportunities and brand reputation.
  • Develop and oversee enterprise-wide financial management systems, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, inventory governance, procurement strategies, and detailed analysis of profit and loss statements, sales performance, labour costs, and key operational metrics to inform executive decision-making.
  • Formulate and implement organisational policies, standard operating procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives that optimise operational efficiency, service quality, risk management, and regulatory compliance across all business units.
  • Direct human capital strategy by overseeing workforce planning, executive recruitment, leadership development, succession planning, performance management systems, and organisational capability initiatives to maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce.
  • Establish robust governance frameworks to ensure full compliance with food safety legislation, liquor licensing requirements, workplace health and safety obligations, industrial relations laws, employment standards, and internal corporate policies.
  • Lead procurement and supply chain strategy by negotiating high-value supplier agreements, managing key commercial relationships, and implementing inventory optimisation programs that ensure quality assurance, supply continuity, and cost efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents encouraged to apply 
  • AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
  • At least 3 years of relevant senior management experience in restaurant, hospitality, or food service operations, with responsibility for strategic planning, financial oversight, and organisational leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing long-term business strategies, including revenue optimisation, market expansion initiatives, and operational transformation projects that drive sustainable growth.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and people development skills, with the ability to build high-performing teams and oversee multi-department operations.
  • Sound understanding of food safety legislation, workplace health and safety requirements, liquor licensing obligations, employment standards, and broader regulatory compliance frameworks.
