Our brand‑new centre in Australind is seeking a Centre Chef to join their team from August 2026.

From greeting our families each morning with a friendly smile and a barista‑made coffee and treat, to conjuring up interesting and exciting food for our children, it’s all in a day’s work as Chef of our centre. Day to day, in this role, you can enjoy:

• Use your mastery knowledge of cooking to plan an interesting and exciting menu for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old
• Preparing a wide variety of nutritious meals and purees, as well as working to dietary requirements for babies and children
• Confidently managing the kitchen autonomously, ensuring effective stock rotation, budgeting, and shopping for your kitchen
• Ensuring the highest level of food safety and supervision in accordance with the Food and Council Authority requirements and Green Leaves Early Learning Standards
• Mentoring and guiding a kitchen hand in a professional environment, to deliver the highest quality of food and service
• Providing thoughtful culinary classes alongside our Educators to our littlest learners
• Collaborating with our National Nutritional Program Partner, with a focus on environmentally sustainable practices within our eco‑friendly settings.

About You:

• At least a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Experience working in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting
• Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Current and State‑relevant Working with Children’s Check
• Current Child Protection and National Child Safety Training Certificates
• Current First Aid and CPR (HLTAID012)
• National Police Clearance obtained in the last 6 months
• The availability to work from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday
