About the role
We are seeking a Financial Planner to join our team at Schaefer Financial Planning in Nowra, NSW. This is a part-time position that offers flexibility whilst allowing you to make a meaningful contribution to our growing client base. As a Financial Planner, you will play a key role in developing and implementing financial strategies that meet the needs of our clients. This position is integral to our business, allowing us to expand our service delivery and support more individuals and families in achieving their financial objectives. The number of word days may be negotiable and salary to reflect.
What you'll be doing
Conducting comprehensive financial assessments and needs analyses with clients to understand their financial situation, goals and objectives
Developing tailored financial plans and investment strategies aligned with individual client circumstances and risk profiles
Providing advice on investment portfolio construction, superannuation planning, insurance needs and retirement strategies
Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication, reviews and ongoing support
Preparing detailed financial planning documents and recommendations for clients
Staying current with financial products, market conditions and regulatory requirements to ensure advice remains relevant and compliant
Contributing to client education through discussions, presentations and resources that promote financial literacy
Collaborating with team members to ensure clients receive coordinated and comprehensive financial services
What we're looking for
Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
Current or eligible for Financial Adviser Licensee (FAL) and/or Financial Adviser Representative (FAR) credentials
Financial Adviser Representative (FAR) credentials must be held at the time of application.
Strong understanding of financial planning principles, investment markets and superannuation legislation
Demonstrated experience in financial planning, wealth management or a related financial services role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in clear, accessible language
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
A professional, ethical approach to client relationships and compliance matters
Proficiency with financial planning software and relevant technology platforms
Knowledge of taxation and retirement income planning principles
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
This role does not allow for work from home due to specific needs of the business.
