North Hobart, 7000, Hobart, Tasmania
Full time
MC Labour has worked alongside Tasmania’s builders for more than 20 years, supporting major projects across the state with a locally managed team and deep on-the-ground knowledge. Our people have contributed to some of Tasmania’s most significant developments, including the Hobart Airport redevelopment, the new Royal Hobart Hospital, MONA and the Bridgewater Bridge replacement.
That local expertise is backed by a national business with extensive construction experience and long-standing relationships with many of Australia’s leading builders. But our success in Tasmania has always been driven by people who understand the local market, workforce and industry.
As we continue to invest in the region, we are looking for an experienced local leader to build on that foundation and lead the next phase of growth.
Why This Role Is DifferentYou'll be the key local contact for our clients, workforce and industry partners across Tasmania — the person builders call when they need crew on site, and the person skilled workers trust to place them well. Success in this role comes from doing both exceptionally: building a strong local workforce and winning the clients to put them to work.
The national team supports you on sales, finance and payroll. You report directly to the leadership team, with genuine autonomy to run the operation and the backing to grow it.
There's plenty of work coming in Tasmania, the stadium build among it. You'll have the opportunity to shape and grow the local business with an established national team behind you.
What You'll Be DoingIf this sounds like the right fit, send us your CV and a short note about your experience and why this role interests you. We'd rather hear it straight than polished.
