ARC Disability Services Inc. is a community-based organisation with a long history in the Cairns and Far North, supporting children and adults who have a disability, their families and support networks.
  
Role Summary:

  • 2 x Part Time Permanent (30 hours per week)
  • S.C.H.A.D.S. Industry Award – Level 3

This is a hands-on, all-round finance role where you will support the smooth delivery of payroll and financial processes across the organisation. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial operations.

Is this you?

This role is responsible for supporting end-to-end payroll and general finance functions, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and responsiveness to internal stakeholders. You will bring strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  
Key duties include:
  • End-to-end payroll processing (SCHADS Award)
  • Payroll compliance, reporting, and reconciliations
  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • General finance support and account reconciliations
  • Responding to internal payroll and finance queries
Mandatory:
  • Certificate III in Accounts Administration or equivalent
  • Broad finance skills across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with finance and payroll systems (e.g., MYOB)
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of the SCHADS Award
  • Experience in the NDIS or disability sector highly regarded
Additional requirements:
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Good IT literacy, including finance systems and Microsoft Office
  • Working with Children (Blue Card) and Disability Services (Yellow Card) (or willingness to obtain)
  • Right to work within Australia
  • Willingness to undertake pre-employment checks, including drug and alcohol testing
