Beechboro Christian School (BCS), a culturally diverse and growing school located in Bennett Springs, is part of the Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA). BCS provides Christ-centred, values-based education that empowers students to become all God created them to be. With over 350 enrolments and more than 50 nationalities represented in our community, BCS is a vibrant environment grounded in gospel mission and meaningful relationships.

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Administration Assistant to join our team in a part-time (0.8 FTE), ongoing position commencing as soon as possible. You will support the school community by providing high-quality administration and reception services while fostering a positive, professional and team-focused environment.

This is not just a role; it’s a sacred opportunity to support the nurturing of young hearts and minds.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Welcome visitors, manage enquiries professionally, and maintain a safe, organised and clean reception area.
  • Provide efficient administrative support, managing enquiries, records, data entry, reporting, and deliveries with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Process payments and perform daily EFTPOS reconciliations.
  • Support student attendance processes, including absence management, roll monitoring, and issuing late passes.
  • Provide first aid support, assist with student medications and medical records, and maintain medical records and supplies.
  • Any additional tasks as requested by the Line Manager or Principal.

Selection Criteria:

Essential:

  • Demonstrate a committed Christian faith by actively supporting the College’s Christian life and aligning with the Association’s Statement of Faith, Christian Lifestyle Statement, and educational objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in a receptionist, administrative or customer service role.
  • Friendly, approachable, and service-oriented manner, and committed to a high level of confidentiality as required.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across the school community.
  • Competency in office software systems and willingness to learn new platforms.
  • Holds a current Working with Children card, and Department of Education Criminal History Check, or willingness to apply.

Desirable Selection Criteria:

  • Experience working within a Primary school setting.
  • Certificate III or higher in Business Administration.
  • A valid First Aid Certificate.
