Job Role: Fully Licensed Pest Control Technician

Company: Cottesloe Pest Control

Location: Serving Cottesloe, Fremantle, and Perth’s Western Suburbs (Office in Nedlands)

Work Type: Full-Time / Permanent

About Us

Family-owned and operated since 1958, Cottesloe Pest Control is one of Western Australia’s most established and trusted pest management companies. Built over three generations, our proud 4.9-star Google reputation has been earned through honest upfront pricing, absolute reliability, and a focus on premium customer education. We specialize in child- and pet-safe residential and commercial pest management—particularly protecting homes along the coastal corridor from unique challenges like coastal brown ants and timber pests.

We don't just spray and leave; we provide peace of mind to generations of local families. We are looking for a personable, expert technician to join our tight-knit team and uphold that legacy.

What the Role Involves

As a mobile technician representing our brand across the Western Suburbs, your day-to-day will include:

  • Conducting thorough Visual Termite Inspections (VTI) and detailed timber pest reporting in strict accordance with Australian standards.

  • Implementing integrated pest management solutions for general pests (ants, spiders, cockroaches, rodents, fleas, and wasps).

  • Applying low-toxicity, environmentally conscious treatments with a strong focus on family and pet safety.

  • Providing clear, honest, and "non-pushy" preventative advice to clients regarding pest behaviours and property vulnerabilities.

  • Managing on-site client relationships with the level of punctuality, courtesy, and neatness our customers expect.

What We are Looking For

  • Licensing: Must hold a current, fully valid Western Australian Pest Management Technician License.

  • Experience: Proven experience in general pest control and visual timber/termite inspections. Pre-purchase inspection experience is highly regarded.

  • Customer-First Attitude: Strong communication skills. You need to be approachable, clear, and willing to take the time to answer customer questions honestly.

  • Local Detail: Knowledge of Perth's coastal soils and associated pest issues (e.g., coastal brown ants) is a major plus.

  • Basics: A valid WA manual driver's license, a clean police clearance, and a neat, professional presentation.

What We Offer

  • A Reputable Work Environment: Work with a company that has a stable, loyal, multi-generational client base built on word-of-mouth rather than aggressive sales metrics.

  • Modern Support: Fully equipped company service vehicle, quality equipment, uniform, and mobile tech setup.

  • Work-Life Balance: Reliable daytime weekday hours (Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm). No weekends or public holidays.

  • Competitive Compensation: Great hourly rate/salary packaging based on your experience and qualifications.

How to Apply

If you take genuine pride in your workmanship and want to work with a team where technicians are known by name by their clients, we want to hear from you.

Please send your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience to ***************@westnet.com.au
