About the role

Old South Head Salon (AOK AUS) are looking for a motivated full-time barber who is dedicated to their role in creating a customer database and expanding growth of the business. To fit the role, you must fit the below requirements:

· Experienced hairdresser

· Exceptional communication and customer relations skills

· Must be Well-groomed and great presentation

. Currently in Australia 

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Consultation:

- Conduct thorough consultations with clients to determine their hair care needs, preferences, and desired outcomes.

- Provide recommendations and suggestions based on the client's hair type, face shape, and lifestyle.

2. Hair Styling and Cutting:

- Perform haircuts, trims, and styling according to the client's preferences and current trends.

- Utilize various cutting techniques and tools to create desired hairstyles.

- Stay updated with the latest hairstyle trends and techniques.

3. Hair Coloring and Treatment:

- Apply hair color, highlights, and lowlights using various coloring techniques such as foiling, balayage, and ombre.

- Conduct strand tests to ensure proper color application and minimize damage.

- Provide hair treatments such as deep conditioning, keratin treatments, and scalp massages.

4. Chemical Services:

- Perform chemical services like perming, relaxing, and straightening hair.

- Ensure proper application and timing of chemical treatments to achieve desired results while maintaining hair health.
5. Product Knowledge and Sales:

- Stay informed about the salon's hair care products and recommend appropriate products to clients for home hair care routines.

- Upsell salon products and services to clients, enhancing their overall experience and satisfaction.

6. Sanitation and Safety:

- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, disinfecting tools and equipment after each use.

- Follow safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a hygienic and safe environment for clients and staff.

7. Customer Service:

- Provide exceptional customer service, actively listening to clients' concerns and preferences.

- Offer professional advice and suggestions to clients, addressing their questions and ensuring their satisfaction.

8. Appointment Management:

- Schedule appointments, manage bookings, and maintain accurate records of client services and preferences.

- Efficiently manage time and accommodate appointment changes or walk-in clients. Appropriate candidate must have the following skills, education and experience:

Education: Certificate III + 2 years previous work experinces

Work Rights: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder
