Our client is a successful and long-established, WA-owned engineering business providing goods and services into a wide range of sectors including transport and mining. Their products are sold nationally and internationally, and head office is in Belmont. This is a busy and well-respected company with a newly created and very important key role available for an experienced, hands-on and skilled accounts and administration professional.

This is a permanent, full-time role, working from pleasant premises in Belmont. A generous salary will be offered based on skill and experience. Previous experience in a similar role and in a related sector would be highly regarded as would a formal qualification in accounting or similar.

Some of the major responsibilities will include:

·       Manage the day-to-day operations of the office

·       Perform full bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, general ledger maintenance, cash flow management, and month-end procedures.

·       Preparation, review and reconciliation of BAS and PAYGI reporting to ensure compliance with ATO requirements and liaison with external accountants

·       Prepare Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns and supporting documentation as well as Payroll Tax (PRT) in consultation with external accountants.

·       Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and budget analysis.

·       Liaise with external stakeholders including lawyers, IT service providers, banks, insurers, and government authorities.

·       Manage company contracts, service agreements, and supplier arrangements, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and job costing and contract management assistance.

·       Supervise and support administrative staff

·       Coordinate human resources administration, including onboarding, employee records, leave management, and workplace compliance.

·       Xero and Ostendo software used daily
