About the role


Our Perth Processing Centre is seeking a Processing Technician to aid in the sufficient and safe provision of blood, plasma and biological products.

You’ll achieve this through teamwork, collaboration and an uncompromising focus on safety, quality and customer service, taking pride in delivering the right products, to the right places, at the right time.

 A day as a Processing Technician could see you:

  • Unpack shippers and log data into Lifeblood systems
  • Process and separate blood components
  • Separate and store red cells
  • Freeze and store plasma components
  • Load and unload the rapid plasma freezer
  • Participate in standard equipment set up, maintenance and cleaning with training, supervision and support
  • Maintain a high level of commitment to quality systems, quality control measures and application


Sound interesting? Here’s what we are looking for:

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend and twist to operate different platforms
  • Experience working to standard operating procedures in a regulated production environment
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with a collaborative working style
  • Experience in a scientific laboratory would be advantageous but not essential

The role will require you to work within different working hours, including public holidays and there is an operational requirement to work varied shifts on a rotating roster between Monday to Friday -6:00 AM to 11:00PM & Saturday - Sunday 6:00AM to 9:00PM.
