Junior Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Junior Accountant. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

As part of our dynamic and growing firm, you will assist with the preparation and analysis of a wide range of accounting and taxation matters for a diverse portfolio of clients.

About the role

Specifically

• Ability to prepare tax returns for sole traders, companies, and individuals.

• Ability to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual BAS, IAS, Superannuation Guarantee, and TPAR returns.

• Ability to perform payroll processing and bookkeeping for a variety of business entities.

• Ability to liaise directly with clients to respond to queries and provide information as required.

• Ability to communicate with the ATO regarding various taxation and compliance matters.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

About You: 

• Minimum 1+ accounting experience in taxation

• University degree in Commerce, Accounting or Business

• Proficiency in Microsoft office including Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Ability to use various accounting & payroll Software (Xero, MYOB, Reckon and other preferred)

• A motivated attitude to go above and beyond the call of responsibility.

• Hardworking, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
