About the role:

The Accountant at ASAP Press Pty Ltd is responsible for planning, organising, and providing accounting and financial management support for the business. The role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective financial control.

Key duties include:

Assisting in the development and implementation of budgeting and accounting policies.
Preparing financial statements and management reports for presentations to directors and other stakeholders.
Examining operating costs, income, and expenditure to support business decision-making.
Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, and supporting audit activities.
Preparing taxation returns for the organisation where required.
Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of accounting records to support efficient business operations.
Defining audit objectives, and designing and implementing audit methodologies, processes and audit report criteria.
Maintaining internal control systems and monitoring compliance.
Monitor and analyse the company’s cash flow, forecasting short-term liquidity needs and advising management on cash flow related decisions.

Skills, qualification, and experience required:

Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Accounting or a related discipline.
Experience in an accounting role for 1- 2 years.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, taxation requirements, and internal control procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet reporting deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced business environment.
