Trust Accountant – Commercial Property

Join a high-performing property group recognised for its professionalism, growth, and collaborative team culture. Due to continued portfolio expansion, the team is seeking an experienced Trust Accountant to support their award-winning Asset Management division.

About the Role:

You’ll play an integral part in managing all financial activities within the trust account — from daily transactions and reconciliations through to month-end reporting and audits. You’ll work closely with the asset management team to ensure accurate financial processing and seamless communication with clients and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily receipting, payments, and bank reconciliations
  • Review and monitor accounts payable coding for accuracy
  • Process approved invoices and on-charge to tenants as required
  • Prepare and issue monthly owner statements and reports
  • Track and manage cash positions and fund partitions
  • Complete end-of-month procedures
  • Support annual outgoings, vacate reconciliations, and trust audits
  • Action financial changes within the lease system
  • Open and close term deposits as needed
About You: You’ll bring solid experience in trust accounting within either a commercial or residential property management environment.

You’ll be detail-oriented, organised, and proactive, with the confidence to make sound decisions and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team setting.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Previous trust accounting experience in property management (commercial or residential)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Sound knowledge of property legislation and accounting regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Cirrus8 highly regarded
  • A positive, hands-on attitude and commitment to excellence
