About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of payroll at People First Bank as we bring together two payroll operations into a single, best-practice payroll function. You'll play a pivotal role in system optimisation, process redesign and continuous improvement, helping to deliver efficient, compliant and scalable payroll services for our people.
Working across UKG Workforce Management and Chris21, you'll combine your payroll expertise, systems knowledge and continuous improvement mindset to drive enhancements, support transformation initiatives and provide trusted advice across the business.
Specifically, this will include:
Configuring, maintaining and optimising UKG Workforce Management and Chris21 payroll systems.
Leading payroll system enhancements, upgrades, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Conducting payroll and time & attendance audits to ensure accuracy, compliance and data integrity.
Analysing payroll and workforce data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
Supporting payroll compliance across awards, enterprise agreements, taxation and superannuation requirements.
Partnering with Payroll, People & Culture, Finance and operational leaders to deliver system and process improvements.
Providing expert guidance, training and support on payroll systems, workforce management and compliance matters.
About You
Proficiency with Chris21 and UKG is essential for this role
Additionally, you are a highly experienced payroll professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for continuous improvement. You enjoy partnering with stakeholders, solving complex payroll challenges and leveraging technology to deliver efficient, compliant and scalable payroll solutions.
We also seek:
Demonstrated experience administering and configuring UKG Workforce Management systems.
Strong experience with Chris21 payroll configuration and payroll processing.
Extensive knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and compliance requirements.
Experience conducting payroll and time and attendance audits.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and data reconciliation skills.
Proven experience leading process improvement and optimisation initiatives.
Advanced reporting and data analysis capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Candidates with experience in payroll system implementations, upgrades or transformation projects will be highly regarded, particularly those with knowledge of workforce management best practices, rostering principles, system integrations and data migration activities.
Relevant qualifications in Payroll, HRIS, Human Resources or business process improvement are also desirable.
