Accounts Payable & Finance Officer
Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable & Finance Officer to join their finance team. This is a permanent full-time role responsible for managing the full accounts payable function while contributing to broader finance reporting and process improvement initiatives. 0.7-0.8 FTE will also be considered for the right candidate.
Working closely with the Accounting Manager and CFO, you will be a trusted team member ensuring financial integrity and efficient processes across the business.
This role works in their Geelong based office but with flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.
You will be responsible for:
Managing the end-to-end accounts payable function, including processing invoices and supplier management
Preparing and processing weekly payment runs, including EFT and foreign currency transactions
Managing outstanding liabilities and resolving supplier queries and discrepancies
Maintaining supplier master data and ensuring accuracy and compliance
Supporting month-end processes, including journals, accruals and reconciliations
Assisting with financial reporting, audit preparation and cashflow support
Supporting compliance activities including BAS preparation and GST obligation
Contributing to system and process improvements across finance operations
Providing support across receivables, expenses and general finance administration
Acting as a key finance contact for internal teams, suppliers and other stakeholders
To be successful in this role you will:
Have demonstrated experience in accounts payable with exposure to broader finance functions
Possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, controls and compliance requirements
Be highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Have effective communication skills and confidence in engaging with a variety of stakeholders
Bring strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems
Be proactive, reliable and committed to continuous improvement
