With a major focus on our ongoing national store rollouts and facilities management, we are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to serve as the critical financial bridge between our active Construction/Maintenance teams and the core Accounts department.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to senior management, this role is designed for a commercially focused professional ready to own project level expenses. You will be the go to finance contact for our project managers and site teams, mastering the fundamentals of construction accounting with a clear pathway to career progression within our business.
Key Responsibilities
You will play a vital role in tracking project expenditure and keeping our construction and maintenance pipelines financially accurate. Your duties will include:

Construction & Maintenance Tracking: Act as the primary financial bridge between the construction team and accounts, monitoring ongoing maintenance and store build costs.

Systems Management: Utilise Jobpac daily to manage project costs, commitments, and financial data.

Expense & Receipt Management: Oversee the collection, verification, and management of receipts for all site and project expenses.

Credit Card Reconciliations: Manage and reconcile company credit cards used by the construction and project teams.

Allowance Budgeting: Track, budget, and process staff meal allowances and travel expenses for site crews.

Month-End Support: Assist with month end processes, general ledger maintenance, and preparing/processing adjusting journals.

Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Construction Managers, Project Supervisors, and Store Managers to ensure smooth financial workflows.
What You Bring -
Experience: 1-2 years experience in an accounting role, specifically within the construction or property development sectors is highly regarded.

Software Skills: Hands-on experience with Jobpac is required. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

Education: A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently tracking towards completion).

Communication: Exceptional English communication skills—you must be comfortable translating financial requirements to site teams and vice versa.

Attributes: A sharp eye for detail, the ability to manage high volumes of receipts/data, and a proactive "can-do" attitude toward problem-solving.
