GROUP FINANCE MANAGER

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Directors, the Group Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial management functions across the hospitality group while supporting the company's continued growth and expansion.

The successful applicant will provide strategic financial leadership, develop robust financial governance frameworks, improve reporting and forecasting capabilities, strengthen internal controls and oversee the continued optimisation of integrated hospitality management systems used throughout the organisation.

The role will also play a critical part in supporting new venue openings, financial planning and long-term business growth.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine, implement, monitor, review and evaluate financial management strategies, policies and procedures across all operating entities.
  • Develop and oversee annual budgets, forecasts, cashflow projections and financial models.
  • Direct the preparation of management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets and financial performance reports.
  • Analyse business performance and provide strategic financial advice to directors and senior management.
  • Assess funding requirements, investment opportunities and capital expenditure proposals.
  • Develop and implement group-wide financial controls, governance frameworks and risk-management procedures.
  • Monitor and improve financial accountability across all venues.
  • Investigate and reduce revenue leakage, cash discrepancies, stock losses, theft risks and reconciliation irregularities.
  • Establish and maintain robust audit trails, reconciliation processes and financial compliance systems.
  • Ensure compliance with financial legislation, taxation requirements and accounting standards.
  • Monitor venue profitability, labour costs, food costs, inventory usage and operational expenses.
  • Develop financial reporting structures to support multi-site hospitality operations.
  • Provide strategic financial leadership for existing operations and future venue openings.
  • Coordinate the implementation, integration, training, optimisation and ongoing management of hospitality management software platforms and financial reporting systems.
  • Oversee the administration and optimisation of Destinity Hospitality Management by Scienter and related hospitality management systems.
  • Utilise software reporting tools to improve operational transparency, inventory management, procurement controls and financial performance monitoring.
  • Train directors, venue managers and operational staff in financial accountability, reporting procedures and best-practice financial management.
  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, software providers, suppliers, financial institutions and regulatory bodies.

Qualification & experience

Essential skill Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum five years of senior financial management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing financial operations across multiple business entities or locations.
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, financial reporting and business analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing, managing or optimising enterprise financial management systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyse financial information and provide commercially focused recommendations to senior management.

The position has been created to strengthen financial accountability, improve operational performance, implement best-practice financial controls and provide strategic financial leadership across all entities within the group.
