Assistant Accountant

We are partnering with a leading WA organisation to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their collaborative finance team. This is a varied and hands-on role offering exposure across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, month-end reporting, and financial accounting processes.

Working closely with the wider finance function, you will also support compliance requirements, stakeholder management, and process improvement initiatives within a fast-paced and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing
• Daily bank reconciliations and payment allocations
• Managing supplier payments, EFTs, and stakeholder queries
• Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accuracy
• Assisting with month-end reporting, journals, and financial analysis
• Supporting tax lodgements, audits, and compliance requirements
• Reviewing transactional workflows and identifying process improvements
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

About You

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or transactional finance role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and GST compliance
• Experience with reconciliations, reporting, and ERP systems
• High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
• Strong communication skills with a team-focused approach
