Reporting to senior management, this Accountant position will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial operations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting processes, assist in financial reporting, and support budgeting, cost control, and auditing activities to enhance the company’s financial integrity and operational performance.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations including journal entries, accruals, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary on financial performance.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including cost tracking and expenditure analysis.
  • Maintain accurate financial documentation, records, and supporting schedules in compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements.
  • Perform internal control checks to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Assist with cash flow monitoring, accounts payable/receivable processing, and credit control functions.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies by preparing required working papers, audit files, and evidence.
  • Support management with financial insights, operational cost analysis, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, company procedures, and relevant accounting legislation.
  • Contribute to system improvements and support SAP ERP/financial system enhancements.
  • New SAP user training and supervise the data integrity with SAP ERP system.
  • Remote manage the oversea accounting & administrative service team in Vietnam. 

Qualification & experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
  • Additional qualifications in business, auditing, or financial management will be an advantage.

Skills & Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger, and accrual-based accounting principles.
  • Experience in preparing audit documentation, analysing financial statements, and identifying errors or irregularities.
  • Proven experience in payment terms management, credit control, and follow-up of receivables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to provide meaningful financial insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; deep knowledge & experience with SAP ERP and MYOB systems.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain financial accuracy.
  • Experience in FMCG, agriculture, manufacturing, supply chain, or commercial industries is advantageous.
  • Vietnamese language proficiency and cultural awareness will be highly regarded, given the company’s frequent interaction with Vietnamese-speaking stakeholders across finance, supply, and operational activities. This role will directly manage the oversea accounting & administrative team in Vietnam.
